What's new?

Well hello there!

Yes, I am aware that it's been a while since I blogged thanks to a certain someone (ahem, Laura) for pointing that out. Several times.

So... not much is new since I last wrote. OH, WAIT.  Huston walks. And talks. And sleeps through the night. And naps like a champ. And we bought a house.

Eeep!

First, the babe. Per usual. He has changed so much in the last few weeks. Basically, he's even awesome-er than before. Yeah, nobody saw that coming!

After his 9 month checkup and a scolding for not feeding him enough, we started him on formula and worked our way up to 8oz bottles. I kept nursing but I'm still not officially done. Maybe tomorrow. :) Anyway, he's sleeping waaay better which is a relief to all who are sick of hearing me complain.

He's been taking steps for a while now but just recently has been stompin' all over town our apartment. My favorite part is how proud he is of himself when he realizes what he's done. That smile is outta this world, folks.

In addition to the boring old mama and dada, he's added yellow (crazy, right?), hello, woof, and a killer growl. He wants to talk so badly and I love when he just stares at my mouth watching the words form. He tries to copy it and comes up with new sounds every day!

I guess I should bring it down a notch. He hates having his diaper changed so I have to physically restrain him to keep him down. Usually a toy, song, or game won't keep him still so if there are two of us home, we have to double-team him. He also won't stay seated in the bath so we usually get a two-for-one special there since I'm drenched by the end.

Ok, back to bragging. He loves pointing to things around the apartment. We have mastered clock, window, Michael Jordan, giraffe, door, light, fan, and probably some others I'm forgetting. He's just dying to learn new things and again, gets so proud of himself when he does it right.

Next big topic: our new house! Things happened so fast (Ha, I just typed fart instead which induced a true lol. Real mature, Tammy.) but I'm glad it worked out like it did. I absolutely love it and I can't wait to close!!!
